the shark's own private fuck

So. I'm in Atlanta, right down the street from fucking Center Stage where Sunny Day Real Estate just played. Yeah. Atlanta. Jesus fucking shit. I don't really have words. But the shit was perfect. They played from each album, and one new song. New. Ugh. You know everyone in the fucking place wanted to see them since two thousand one. Thats so damn long ago. I was sixteen and pumped on The Rising Tide and collecting all I could. I kept thinking about who told me about them and wishing they were here, because they'd be so happy. So I sent him a message. We'll see. I wish I could tell you the line up. But I knew every damn song. It all came back. All the queues. All the build up. I know barely anything that has stuck beside me so vehemently, for eight years, as something I continue to love and appreciate. It all comes flooding back. As if nothing as changed. But so much good has come. Here's an idea of the setlist, if I recall correctly, most of this was played, if not all. They were clearly happy and incredibly thankful. I'm so fucking happy with it.

December, I wait for your arrival patiently. There's a show not to be missed for the world.

Tallahassee is as beautiful as I once knew, five or whatever years ago. Everything tastes different. Or maybe I just can't sleep enough to smell it. Mallory let me sleep in her bed with her. She is so kind. She, Leeb and Maw-Maw have an awesome house in a neighborhood where their friends live, and they can walk to work while the leaves change and fall on the hilly street. It's gorgeous. The school venue, Club Downunder, had Tiny Teeth playing with These Arms Are Snakes and mm/dd/yyyy, last night in a room of maybe twenty people. Snakes were really awesome live, but I don't recall liking them a few years back ('03?). Very heavy, good good heavy and technical. The bassist fucking rules. Tiny Teeth's new songs are fucking great. They're so damn good. I totally love the drummer, Brian. He's amazing.

First Friday was also last night. It's a block of art venues and studios that showcase locals and music and food every month. Seriously about a thousand people there. Fucking cool. Saw Whitney George whom I never get to see. I tried looking for Erin Hammes, to no avail. I suddenly was struck by Lexi Braun being in Tally and called her. She's doing good things. Like playing drums. I never see her either.

I have to fucking do something.
Lately I don't give a fuck about anything.

I haven't had my phone since we got to Gainesville on Friday. That's how it works. It isn't bad.

Bike Polo and Kickball are doing really well. Sometime I'll get some fixie shit and convert one of my bikes. There's usually twelve people at Polo and twenty people at Kickball. It's fucking rad.

I can't complain about much.
