Have you registered to vote? There are only three more days to register.

Sarah Palin will be at Alico Arena Monday Oct 6th at noon (doors).
There's a rally against her that morning. I got this email:

On Monday, October 6th, Sarah Palin will be speaking at a fundraiser at the Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club in Naples! There is going to be a rally that day to protest her and McCain's right-wing, anti-choice, anti-woman positions, and to support Barack Obama. The rally will be held at the corner of Rte 41 and S. VOTING EARLY (I got this email:)
November 4 is going to be hectic at most polling locations. But it is not all doom and gloom for the final day to vote.

You can be the key helping to solve the problem by joining the estimated 30% of people that either vote by mail or vote early. Casting an early ballot will reduce the average number voters at each precinct. We need to significantly increase the number of early voters.

Your help is needed to make election day go smoothly. First, everyone can still request a "ballot by mail". This is a great thing to do and especially if you contact your friends that have requested a "ballot by mail" to assure they complete and submit their's according to the rules (signature is a big issue - it must match the signature on file). The first ballots will be mailed early next week, but can be requested until the week of October 27. Phone 533-8683 (Lee Vote) to request your ballot.

Next you can make sure everyone that doesn't have a "ballot by mail" votes early. Early voting is available at 5 locations in Lee County. Starting Monday, October 20 each location is open 6 days a week and offers at least 6 voting machines. At your convenience you can vote - you can take your friends, neighbors and relatives to vote. Get enough "I Voted" stickers to wear one each day until the final day to cast a ballot November 4 to remind everyone you meet to vote early.

If each of us get 5 people to vote early or vote by mail we can help significantly reduce the numbers of people that will need to vote on the final day ballots can be cast. Our efforts can reduce the traffic and parking problems, the length of lines and decrease the possibility of people walking away because the lines are so long.

If you absolutely, positively want to go to the polls on November 4 volunteer as a poll watcher or contact the supervisor of elections to become a poll worker or volunteer to greet people as they arrive. But vote early.

!
There was a Planned Parenthood party to learn about McCain's policies involving women, which I was interested in and missed it. I emailed someone and should be getting information but also got this web site: For information generally about McCain, etc, go to http://www.plannedparenthoodvotes.org
