Hopeless romanticism is Overrated
The simplicity of love as is projected by the media is overrated, and is given much more credit than is deserved. It's all well and good to cheer for the pure and chaste one, but when confronted with such a situation in reality, as the old addage says, "nice guys finish last". Relationships are a ruthless take-no-prisoners situation where, as Charles Darwin so eloquently worded it, "only the strong survive". Exposing one's self only leads to imminent disappointment. As intriguing as the challenge of maintaining an innocuous relationship may seem, I find myself being drawn by the appeal of decadence and debauchery involved with the thrill of a chase, or at the moment, perhaps the lack thereof. I refuse to tire myself running in place after a moving target. I, for one, have too much pride and too little time to busy myself with a frivolous engagement.
I'm going to be creating a new journal, because i have grown bored with this one, as i do with a lot of things in my life. I'm sure that I will maintain this one to a certain extent but I just need a change; in more ways than one. I'll be sure to let any of you who do, in fact, give a shit know what the name of it is.
In the game of seduction there is only one rule... never fall in love
BTW: I'm going to start updating my new livejournal after I get it customized the way I want it (background, etc.) If anyone knows how to fix these things, I would greatly appreciate some help.
