[OOC][Timeskip Information][TL;DR AHEAD]

Sep 06, 2008 16:45

Tyve has gone home as of today, 9-6-08 and will be gone 1-2 weeks depending on me. x_X

TL;DR version is: She's gone back home for 4 1/2 years and has forgotten about her past prior to returning home and purg is sort of a fuzzy coma dream for her.

HOWEVER. If you will be so kind as to brave long-winded histories, a better explanation is down below. Because I like putting details. Of everything.

As it were, through luck, misinformation of death, or perhaps some bargaining with the gods in her world, Tyve has cheated death (Though to be honest, this appears to be commonplace in the world of Gundam Wing). As for her Deux Ex Machina situation, she has actually been in a coma. Predictably enough. She "died" roughly end of May/Beginning of June of AC 195 and finds herself awakening July AC 196 (Now 18), a significant time after the events of Gundam Wing, but still a few months prior to the events in Endless Waltz. Apparently a lucky soldier that survived a Gundam attack, with only a scar at her side to show otherwise (Coincidentally, or not, where the scar from her injury from Mizore was).

However, this was not without a cost. After being asleep for so long, Tyve lost her memories of everything prior to her time in Purgatorium. Her childhood, who her parents were, her history, everything. Though thankfully, while her memories were gone, her capacity to read, write, etc. were not diminished (Though she seems to have forgotten how to speak in her father's native Norwegian). Rusty after more than a year of disuse, but after a month or two back to normal with a great deal of therapy and rehabilitation. After her stay with the hospital, with nothing but a twisted dog-tag with only her first name and birth date legible and her obvious accent as her only clues to her identity, she set out back into a world she barely knew and had she had her memories still--one completely changed.

While in the world she lived in, that information alone might be enough to find her identity, it appeared that Tyve never pursued that line of inquiry. If it was a time of peace now, there seemed to be no reason for a soldier without their memory to look into anything. Perhaps it had been fate that had given her this Tabula Rasa, and she had no intention of letting the opportunity of a second chance go to waste. Or perhaps she had been too frightened about what she would find. What burdens and sorrows she would have to take up again, should she find out about who she was. For the first time in her life (Not that she would have known it), Tyve turned tail and fled. She gave herself a new last name and settled down into a mundane civilian job. And for the most part was content.

Until Christmas eve, AC 196. The time when Endless Waltz occurred. Her job took her to the city of Brussels that fateful night. And as she finished her business and planned to spend Christmas with a colleague and their family who lived in the area, the battle of the Serpent mobile suits of Mariemaia's army (The leader of which looked somewhat familiar though she couldn't place why) and the Gundams occurred. Watching this all, something stirred in the former soldier's mind. And it resulted in getting caught up in the events and participating in the citizen riots against Mariemaia's army in Brussels.

After the events of that night and the next few days or so, Tyve felt a calling to be more than just someone who lived their day to day life with not a care in the world. Perhaps it was to atone for running from a past she cared not to remember, or her inherent sense of justice. She wanted to make sure that peace was maintained, and that things such as that night never occurred again. And as AC 197 came about, she quit her civilian job and joined the Preventers agency. And from there, after proving herself competent and capable (Thank in no small part to muscle memory), she became one of the many agents in the field around the world. And so she worked, keeping the peace, until September AC 199. On a routine mission, she can't particularly remember the details, something went wrong--An explosion, a crash, Tyve wasn't sure.

And suddenly she found herself back in Purgatorium. Uncertain if she is alive or dead in her world, and quite disoriented from this new development.

As for her Purgatorium memories, to her they have a hazy coma-dream quality to them. Something that was wonderful, maddening, and even sad, but simply a dream. A strange dream she can't seem to recall most of the details of, except for what she assumes were the important bits of this dream. Though during her stay home she continued to have a recurring dream about a woman with grey eyes and dark brown hair she can't seem to shake and seemed to be at a loss to explain. Except for the feeling that this woman is/was somehow important to her. But of course, it was just a dream. No need to chase after a woman who doesn't exist. Though that hadn't stopped the young woman from occasionally turning her head when she saw a woman that matched her dream, carrying just the tiniest bit of hope that she was real.

As for what has changed, Tyve is 21, a member of the Preventers, and has had a final growth spurt in the 4 1/2 years she's been gone to be an even 5' 8". She smiles and laughs a little more easier, though perhaps it is because she no longer has the burden of being a soldier and her past weighing heavily on her mind. However, she is still rather serious, and still a bit nervous, though significantly more mature about handling it. Alcohol tolerance has also marginally gone up. Instead of one bottle, it now takes 1.5 bottles to get her drunk.
