The colonel helped me determine my enemies.. But.. I was lost. What was I fighting for here?.. ..
I have my reason and my purpose here now. While I still need to continue to lock my feelings away as soldier... I finally have something that drives me here. Something beyond being just duty.
To protect those I care about... ... My friends... Not that I didn't care about them before, but.. I have been selfish with my own wants as a soldier. I have been internalizing far too much. While I cannot say that I necessarily understand things that have happened in everyone else's world... I cannot even say that I can agree with everything that has gone on.. I will do what I can.
I can finally be the soldier I was before. I'm not confused anymore.
... I feel.. Oddly content.
