I saw that someone noticed a reference to "Cast Away" in last week's episode: "The Legend of Merle McQuoddy".
However, am I the only one that noticed a more obvious reference?

The last name of the murdered woman was McQuoddy. The name of the town in Pete's Dragon is Passamaquoddy.
The main location is a lighthouse. The main location in Pete's Dragon is also a lighthouse.
The kid's name is Elliott. The name of Pete's Dragon is Elliott.
Heck, they sang "Candle on the Water" for heaven's sake! I can't believe no one has mentioned this yet. (Or did I just completely miss an entry?)
