It really was beautiful outside today. I biked pretty far. I also almost got hit by two cabs. Really, really close. I had to jam the brakes so hard that I nearly flipped off the handle bars (which is probably more dangerous). I got that awful feeling where you know it would have been really easy to die.

eeek... I just got on my new bike yesterday.. I haven't ridden in the city for probably 4 years... it was hella scary, and I don't want to be one of those idiot riders (like rand) who just dart in front of cars and stuff.. too many times have I almost hit people. HOWEVER--I don't want to look like a wuss and ride on the sidewalk (even though I'd kinda rather..) though its illegal anyway.

i'd love to ride on the sidewalk haha. i have never biked in the city, and i don't think i'll ever be able to.
