Hello all.
It's my second day in Fukuoka, and I must say i'm quite surprised at how i'm still surviving despite the fact that i speak little (ok, more like no) japanese. Fukuoka's beautiful, the weather has been great and the city is just so amazing. All the people, the huge malls, the food... Everything. And it's only my second day here.
A few moments today: going to tenjin, walking till my legs almost gave way, sitting at starbucks listening to evasdropping on an australian man trying to pick up japanese chicks, wandering along the alleys of daimyo thinking how many people would love the indie-ness of it all, walking some more and sitting in a park behind Solaria Plaza, enjoying the christmas lights and decorations. I actually feeling like it was christmas. All the people- the adults, the kids, the teenaged couples all just sitting in the park, enjoying the lights and taking photographs. All smiling, all happy. People in the same park, giving away free hugs.
It's been a great day.
Merry Christmas!
