on a side note, why aren't we building nuclear power plants? i know some drunk russians blew one up in 1986, but with modern computer science, nuclear physics and polymers how can we not be building nuclear power plants left and right, and dont give me that harmful to the environment thing, they are currently the cleanest operating power source we have. sure the nuclear waste is a concern, but so is all of the nickel and lithium in your hybrid cars that are supposed to save the planet? and those plug in hybrids, thats a wonderful idea, lets tax and already over burdened power grid.

another side note, can someone who understands economics tell me how we can hope to compete with china for oil in the next couple of years? heres a thought, considering we export more rice,corn,and wheat than any other country in the world, why not jack the price of foodstuffs up to oil bearing countries? if they dont want to lower the price per barrel, let them eat all that sand they have. we as a country should stop being as generous and realize we have the greatest piece of land on this planet and that we need to make that, and what this land can bear work for us.
also the next person who wants to complain about oil companies and how much of a profit they make can bite my pasty white ass. the government, federal and state government could help us out by eliminating the average of 47 c gas tax on every gallon. then demand picks back up, and prices go down.
who the hell thinks we should tax our way out of a recession? oh just a bunch of idiots? good job.
i want everyone to think about how their tax dollars are spent....

the police that only enhance the township's revenue?

im all for paying my taxes, personally i just want them go to a good cause, that has an affect on THIS country like schools, bridges, making sure firefighters and police are well equiped to do their job.
not to donate or spend money in foreign aid so that starving kids in africa can continue to live a terrible life and grow up to hate america, because we didnt do enough to help them. the europeans are the ones who fucked africa up, did the US have a colony in africa?.... why is it our job to fix the mess even the europeans wont touch?
we as americans need to change our perception of our country, we need to shift from, thinking we are the superpower, to understanding we can no longer exercise our will without excessive entanglement in the world.
also, a global economy can only hurt the wealthiest countries because greed will force business owners to do work for cheaper elsewhere.
saying someone has the entrepenurial spirit is just a fancy way of saying that person is cheep and greedy.
not that i have anything against money, but its called excess for a reason.
also, what are we supposed to when china calls in the 1.78 trillion we owe them?
on a brighter note, the supreme court affirmed our 2nd amendment rights :-D
but how far does that go? if the purpose of a well armed citizen is to keep his government in check, shouldnt i be allowed surface to air missiles and a 50 megaton thermonuclear device?
