We're still living in a hotel. Every time we get a new quote for when the repair will be done it's two weeks. So it's still two weeks, a month later. Oi. Although, considering the number of repairs and improvements we're making to the place, it's gonna sound really nice to a potential buyer when we put it on the market in 1-2 years. All new floors, new heat pump, new waterheater, new paint, new counter top, new light fixtures, etc. Ah, but we get to live with the pain of having it all ripped up right now. I'm so sick of the hotel. The floor we're on has a funk to it like people are smoking in their rooms when it's illegal in NJ. Boo.
I started my new job a month ago. When I interviewed it sounded like it wasn't just going to be me on the floor overnight with 60 patients, but that was the plan. I'm hoping to switch over to a different position that just opened up that is day time with only 15 patients. I would rather cater to 15 patients' every need than have to worry about missing one of the 60 having a serious problem while I'm handing out meds to the other 59. I'm hopeful that this will go through okay and I can keep working at my place of employment.
Ha ha my fingers are numb from practicing my new stringed instrument. I can't wait to start playing with the Critter. I hope we'll be the old couple sitting and playing songs together someday. Although we might have to switch to banjo by then so we can be even more kitchy. I have a feeling I'm going to blow Critter out of the water with my practicing since he hasn't even started yet. But we've been so busy.
Wedding! AAAAAaaaaAAAAaahhh!!! Only a month to go! I had a bit of a fiasco with my dress alterations but now the seamstress is taking care of it. We ordered our Quaker wedding certificate which was stupidly expensive but it will look great and we will be able to frame it up really nice and display it on our living room wall, in lieu of the requisite obscenely huge couple pose framed pic 'cause I don't want to be seeing myself on the wall like that everyday kthanx. We have a few things to arrange left - transport/shuttle, wedding hair for my ladies, relaxation for the day before (massage, anyone?), Critter's jacket fiasco/alterations, last minute crap Critter better be taking care of today or else, etc.
And I <3 Stephanie for her crazy weekend. XD I'm still giggling, Dear.
