Lets not have a knee jerk reaction to this and go "OMG HOW COULD THEY DO THIS?!?!"

This is exactly what a bad manager, and a bad employee can create. It is the difference between following the letter of a rule/law, and the intent. Should she have been jailed on a warrant? yes. Should the officers done more because she was a rape victim? Yes

Trying to link the two and say she was put in jail BECAUSE she was a rape victim is nothing more then hyperbole

The nurse denying her emergency contraception for religious reasons is really just the icing on the cake - she's already been raped and jailed, now some do-gooder thinks they want to let her get knocked up from all of it? Aaargh....
