Agreed. And being a moderator at an art site where nearly everybody draws shitty anime drawings, and drawings of dudes in dresses, I completely understand what you mean. And everybody loves these people. It's sick.

Yeah it's definitely more than a little upsetting. Im not sure really what brought all this on i think i was looking at a few people's myspace sites and that makes me think of deviantart and some of the crap ive seen on there and stuff. People just have this bizarre drive to stand out even if they completely suck at what they're attempting.
Go draw yourself an art degree and use it to wash my car you slobbergoats!

I've seen some really talented artists around here too, im fortunate enough to know a few, and i think it upsets me that the genuinely talented folks are getting washed away in this glut of absolute crap.

So there is ONE funny webcomic out there. Way to prove me wrong, Ryan, you jerk! Is this gonna be an ongoing series cuz id read that everyday! You and the other mike need to develope something like that because the stretch bones' 16 in 15 still cracks me up.
Oh and i guess if you want to count it then Jeff K's "bettar tahn penny arcade" is a really funny webcomic.

LOL!! My new quote of the month "my sister got scared and left."! That is so beyond awesome i want to cry. Im telling you if you and the mikes put together a webcomic id read that every day!! the fact of the matter is, georgia, that some stuff just does universally suck. the way i look at it, a lot of web content is just a complete waste of bandwidth. just cuz someone thinks its cool doesn't make it so. some people think having sombody take a dump on their face is cool. yeah, well its not.

and people who put up content completely devoid of anything redeeming are the equivalent of a fat, hairy, sweatty guy in an overcoat approaching you on the street, and asking if he can take a dump on your face. dont be the person who lays down on the sidewalk and says, "sure! fire away!!"

for example, i like singing karaoke. when you're out with your friends and just jackassing around at a bar or something, sure its all great fun! but you dont see me saying, hey, i'm good at this! i'm sure millions of people would love to hear it!! and sit on a street corner with an amp screeching like a banshee.

but thats just me.

I think that it's a bit silly of someone who has devoted a pretty big chunk of his life to professional wrestling to be giving someone a hard time about what they find entertaining.
As for why I wasn't rolling around on the floor laughing my head off, it had nothing to do with how humorous DS is or isn't... I had just worked a 15 hour day and was sort of just vegging out. Also, I think it would have been pretty obnoxious of me to burst out laughing repeatedly, what with you guys sitting close by watching TV or whatever you were doing at the time.
