2. I read your response to Mike up there. I agree with you on the context of ignoring third parties. I think it worked in 2004 (well, would've). The only thing I fear about that idea is that we may be getting into an era where we have to select between the lesser of two evils every time, and both evils are pretty fucked.

Libertarians are pretty crazy, I interned for some a ways back. I think economically they're a nightmare, but on the social front I like what they have to say about state control. That's the thing about politics that can get wary though, it's pretty hard to find a party that toes the line more often than not.

3. It's religious people like that that keep me from being a douche bag atheist (they're like the Christian Right of the left, but the atheist left I guess). Religion has it's place, and it's nice to see it actually work sometimes, instead of the way it's used most of the time.

5. Yeah, I've had a little too much beer and bbq in the last year. It's kind of a gut.
