Summary: It’s Sehun and Baekhyun’s 100th day anniversary. Sehun prepares a little surprise.

Sehun, still disguised in his dog costume and silently suffering from the heat inside, watched from a distance as the kids started gathering around Baekhyun. He shook his head at the outcome of the whole situation since it wasn’t going according to what he had initially planned. He asked them to approach Baekhyun one by one to create a sense of surprise and mystery, but it seemed like the kids didn’t understand that part of the plan quite well since they approached Baekhyun altogether, forming a small crowd of tiny men around his boyfriend. Oh well, it seemed to work anyway since Baekhyun didn’t catch on what was happening. He’s quite out of earshot from Baekhyun and the kids so he couldn’t really hear what his boyfriend was telling them. But he knew he was inquiring as to whom the flowers came from. His heart almost skipped a beat when he saw the bubbly one looked at his direction, ready to point his tiny finger at him. But good thing the bored looking kid was quick enough to stop his friend from blowing up his cover. Good job, kid! Sehun mentally cheered for the kid’s fast reflex and reminded himself to give the kid an extra balloon or two later.

The kids then started handing the flowers one by one to Baekhyun who by now looked both confused and amused at the same time at the whole situation. Sehun couldn’t help but grin. He could tell his little trick was working despite the little deviation in the plan. He continued to observe from his position in the distance, trying to blend into the crowd, as Baekhyun started noticing the polaroids attached on the flowers and the select few with written messages on it. His boyfriend was smart. He knew Baekhyun could easily figure out what it was and what it meant. He knew he’d easily decipher the message Sehun was trying to say to him through those five simple lines. He waited anxiously for a little while until he saw the amusement double on Baekhyun’s pretty face. Sehun couldn’t stop himself from chuckling when saw his boyfriend’s reaction to the poems, a look that was torn between trying not to burst into a fit of laughter and cry in embarrassment for his cheesy act. It was a sight to behold for Sehun and totally worth suffering for in this really hot costume.

Phase 1! Success!

Now that the first part of the plan was done, it was time to enter Phase 2. He walked towards Baekhyun with a definite spring in his step. The man was still too busy staring at the pictures that he didn’t notice his arrival. Sehun lifted his free paw and placed it on top of Baekhyun’s head, petting him gently to gain his attention, his giant puppy head tilting to the side in an adorable fashion that he knew his boyfriend would find adorable. He knew anything cute and fluffy was his boyfriend ultimate weakness and he's going to exploit it well in this phase.

He waited again, fingers gently tracing the Polaroids as he thought deeply what occasion there was today. It was September 13th, he remembered, tilting his head to the side slightly. But what was it? What was so important about this day that Sehun just had to do something like this? Sure, they finally started dating four months ago, but what was so special about it?

Baekhyun's poor mind just could not grasp the importance of celebrating 100, 200, 300 days of dating. He thought it was pointless - his previous lovers did not really care about it anyway. He was not really keen on celebrating anniversaries; perhaps once in a year, yes, but every month or even every 100 days? That was not possible for him. Maybe someday in the future it would be, but certainly not now, not when he had a lot of planning to do.

Speaking of plans, Sehun really planned this... surprise? quite well, he did not see it coming. Baekhyun had thought that the date would be like any other dates they had had before, just the two of them watching a movie and having dinner out, or even going to good ol' Hong Kong Disneyland before strolling along Victoria Harbor at night. Or even just ordering take-outs after window-shopping at this very shopping district. So many things they could do, but Sehun had chosen to plan something for him instead. It was kind of sweet of him, Baekhyun had to admit, and the child in him could not wait to see what else Sehun would do.

So immersed in his own giddy thoughts, Baekhyun almost did not notice the dog mascot walking towards him. When he did, though, his head had already disappeared in the large paw's gentle pets, his heart jumping in surprise because he totally did not expect that!

"Uhm..." he trailed off, facial expression showing a big question mark. Even so, he still had to force a squeal back down his throat at the sight of the fluffy mascot. If it was not for the roses in his lap, he would have already jumped to envelope it in a big hug, despite the fact that he knew there was a stranger inside the mascot. "Good afternoon..." he said hesitantly in Cantonese, a shy smile following the greeting. Then, his eyes flicked over to the balloons the mascot was holding. Ah... he wanted one too... But would it be too embarrassing for a grown-up guy to ask for a balloon? He bit his lower lip, hesitating.

Sehun knew his boyfriend would think that celebrating a 100th day anniversary was just a total waste of time, considering he’s been in a multiple relationship in the past. But to Sehun it was an important event; a big milestone in their relationship that needs to be celebrated. Baekhyun was Sehun’s first crush (though he strongly denied this fact throughout the years they’ve known each other up until a few months ago). He was his first love. His first boyfriend. First kiss. First… everything! He just wanted to show Baekhyun how much he loves him and how much he had made him happy throughout the 100 days they’ve been together as a couple. And, hey, most of his female friends told him that celebrating and surprising their significant others during anniversaries would totally make them happy.

Sehun pulled his paws away from Baekhyun when the older male had finally noticed his presence. He wanted to coo, reach out and pinch his boyfriend’s cheeks the moment he looked up to him with that adorable confused look on his face. Ah, did he ever mention to you that everything Baekhyun does makes him melt into a puddle of goo? Yes? No? His boyfriend was really adorable. Nobody can deny it, even if Baekhyun tries his best to say otherwise. His boyfriend was just the cutest. Sehun just wanted to grab him right now, pull him somewhere private and ravish him there. But nope! He can’t do that… yet. Not before he had gone through all the phases of his surprise. Patience is the key here. He just needs to control his hormones for now.

He noticed the look Baekhyun gave him. He knew that look. It’s the kind of look he wears whenever he has seen something adorable but trying his best to control himself not to squeal. Heh, he guessed his costume really did the trick. Just a few adorable poses and his boyfriend might actually jump on him. Once he noticed Baekhyun’s eyes sweep towards the balloons he was holding, he knew his boyfriend had finally taken the bait.

Sehun tilted his head again, wagging his tails like an excited pup as he pointed towards the balloons, seemingly asking Baekhyun if he wanted one for himself. He picked out one white balloon with a red heart printed on it out of the bunch and handed it towards his boyfriend. However, before Baekhyun could even think of grabbing the balloon off his paws, Sehun quickly pulled it away. He shook his head, trying to say ‘you can’t have a balloon’. Then he lifted his finger between them. ‘But!’ Then he pointed his finger on his cheek. ‘If you give me a kiss.’ He pointed his finger towards the balloon. ‘You can have a balloon.’ He did this movement a couple of times so the other male could understand what he was trying to convey.
