Summary: It's the full moon and John feels the call of the hunt. Out in the forest, he feels free and goes on the hunt for his prey. Little does he know that he isn't the only one out hunting that night.
John closed his eyes and raised his muzzle, howling at the strawberry moon. He shook himself, feeling free and wild. During the full moon, he didn't exactly have control over his changes, but he still loved the feel of the dirt between his toes, the smell of the earth and the wind. Life was so much less complicated when you were a wolf. Eat, sleep, mate. That was pretty much your entire existence. No worries about classes, work, relationships.
Shivering, he sniffed the air. Prey. Some kids were camping in the forest. Little did they know that death was about to fall upon them. Giving a low snarl, he started to shift, only not completely. It was so much more satisfying when he was in his half wolf form. No less deadly, however.
But that was when he smelled it. Vampire. No vampire vermin was going to steal his kill!
