I am in the throes of the Worst Cold in the World. Wednesday night, my chest hurt, but it was just chest congestion. Thursday, it moved up to my nose and that night I couldn't sleep until 2 cause I couldn't breathe, then woke up at 5, then again at 8. Friday, I landed a fever of 103, had an awful headache, and got dizzy everytime I tried to stand up. Today, my glands are swollen and my ears sound like crinkling paper. What more can a cold do to you? I'm not sure, but I think I may find out.
My dad came to see me, and he's clearly not a nurturer. He had no sympathy for the fact that I got dizzy when I stood up, that I'd spent my day drinking water, peeing, and trying to go back to sleep. But he brought me tons of different medications and offered to buy me groceries when he saw I had no juice and also called to let me know that I should feel free to call him if I needed anything, even late at night. My mom and cousin also came to see me last night, and brought me dinner and soup and looked at me pityingly which made me feel better; it's a little depressing when you're the only one feeling sorry for yourself.
The worst part of this cold is that I can't go visit Nina, who just had a kidney transplant. She's on immuno-suppressants so she won't reject the kidney and can't be around sick people.
This is the subject from yet another spam mail I received:

prison out explain out.
It reads like a weird telegram from a mad scientist.
Also, my teapot has been accepted into a show. Specifically, the 2nd International Small Teapot Competition at Saddleback College in CA. They specifically encouraged people to sell their pots, so I think it's a fundraiser more than anything else, but I didn't want to sell mine and it still seems to have made it into the show. I'm still waiting to find out that I've been disqualified though; there's a smudge mark in the glaze and a chip in the foot. And the pot is extremely photogenic, so much so that to look at it in person is a bit of a disappointment. I'm tyring to add a pic - someone tell me if it works.
