This is going to be kind of a weird post.
First of all, thanks to all who came out to see us play the Nathan Hale H.S. Gay/Straight Alliance show last night. It was fun to play and have a bunch of kids dancing around us. That made me feel really good.
Now, I'm going to post a picture.
(more scary stuff is here:

Odd, right? No, it's fucking scary. This picture was taken on Earth Day of this year outside of the radio station where I used to work in Kalispell, MT. The year after I left the station it got bought out by this ultra-conservative extremist who uses the station as a way to spread hateful propoganda/organize violence against liberals.
The green swastika (sp?) you see here is is something this guy has created as a symbol of anything "liberal" (i.e. environmental conservation, human rights groups, lesbian/gay/trans-gender/bi/anything not "god-ly"). What is even more shocking is that this guy plays alternative/metal/punk music on his station from noon to 11 p.m. as a way to suck kids into his other conservative programming. This is *really* scary to me.
So, to relate this all back to the Paxil Rose show last night, it feels good to support (even in a small way) something like a high school GSA benefit. I feel lucky to live in a place where many positive things are going on.
I hope I didn't weird any of you out.
See you all soon,
Jackson
