Youngjae's Voice (He's Not Even My Favorite)
It's been awhile since I listened to KJYPop as I was focusing on Japanese these couple of months ago. I almost forgot how Korean sounded. I almost forgot how I was always updated unlike in the past. And so I tried to watch/listen again.
After stumbling upon GOT7 and while I'm not ready to watch their variety show's last episode yet, I decided to listen to Youngjae's original compositions as I remember listening to them before. While listening to the first track, it was so quintessential that I had to grasp my thoughts because they might drift somewhere they should not be. I have read the translation of its lyrics and, believe me, it matches the rhythm and his voice approach to the song. It's perfect! It fits his voice and, from what I know, he was responsible for both lyrics and melody that it became more special to me. Not all young artists can compose fresh and soulful music like his (or maybe I just sound biased).
I was also listening to this version of their song "아파" and I appreciate his voice all the more:
