I thought I'd try figuring out this place on my own, but I think I've decided to take the lead of a few people I saw! This showed up in my pocket when I arrived here, so I thought ... well, it can't be that bad?

[Teito listens to the voice - it sounds familiar. It takes a second for it to click.]

[It's Mikage! And it's definitely confirmed when it switches over to video.

[a pause and his smile becomes a little sadder]

It would be a little while for you, wouldn't it?

-There are a lot of bushes and flowers around me! I don't know how they manage it here, but it's really nice.

[Annnd he's pretty sure Mikage is in Xanadu based off that description, so...]

[Teito's been running around Xanadu for a little bit, searching for Mikage - but he finally sees him after awhile. He calls out to let him know he's there and just starts running to him.]

Mikage...!

[it's a little weird, the conversations he's having, but he clicks off the device when he sees his best friend and then hears his voice. he doesn't look like he's gained any weight-which, in all actuality, is the last thing Mikage should be worried about, but it doesn't keep himself from musing over the fact.

stuffing away the device, he runs up to meet Teito half-way, wrapping his arms quickly around his friend.]

It looks like we're together again, Teito!

[He hugs Mikage back - it's familiar, and definitely something that he hasn't done for awhile, unless you count cuddling with that pink dragon. It's been such a long time since he's actually seen Mikage too. Teito's happy to see him alive.]

We are. There's a lot I have to tell you.

[just as Teito is happy to see Mikage alive, there's a part of Mikage that's glad to see that Teito is well. of course, he has a feeling that Teito might be able to notice the differences to his stature. though he breathes in and out, there is no pulse, and his skin is cold, too. but he doesn't try to make this obvious, hugging his friend so easily, so readily, as if he's not ready to let go just yet.]

I'll be ready to hear all of it. And I want to, too!

[He notices the coldness and everything - it's like what Leon felt like before he came back to the City alive. It makes him sad, because it serves as a reminder that Mikage is dead, and if he ever does leave the City, he won't go back to their world alive. He isn't about to bring it up just yet, though - being able to be with Mikage is enough for the moment.

The best place to start with everything is probably telling him about the City, since Mikage might still be confused.]

Has anyone told you about the City yet?

[he pulls away just a little, one arm letting go while the other remains draped around Teito's shoulders.]

Just that it's a city without a name. I haven't heard much else yet.

Well...

[He lets Mikage drape over him, and he pulls his communicator out. It takes him a little bit, but he pulls up the City guides for Mikage to let him read everything.]

These are useful.
