la-de-da-de-da-de-daaaah.
i wonder why the things i liked to do as a kid don't appeal to me anymore? i think i was (mel)bourne about 2 years before kids didn't do anything except watch televsion. i remember television playing a role in my youth, but not a very large one. i recall making forts. big forts out of blankets. i don't know why i made them, or what i did after they were made. i must have enjoyed feeling like i had a place of my own. it's strange that i have zero desire to make a fort now. that's a lie, i'd still like one, but a large swiss family robinson style fort. how come as a child the obstacle courses and giant play areas with tubes and ball pits are the best thing in the world? what clicks in my brain to make me stop desiring discovery zone? turns out dz filed for bankruptcy in 1996. just found the article. instant message me if you'd like the link. bahaha.
this child in the lab sitting next to me is listening to blues traveler's "four", the first cd i ever owned. i want to ask him why he's listening to it, considering he's a negroid and blues traveler is not the balls, but i won't.
cliche, niche.
young t-kid and i argued the merits of matisyahu (or Modest Yahoo if you sharpen your phonetics via VH1's "Best Week Ever" ala Teej-kid), the hasidic jew reggae artist. I believe that people enjoy his music because you think it's going to be a gimmick (and it is, ultimately) but when you find out he's decent, everyone's opinion sky rockets. i don't remember teejkids counterpoint, maybe because i wasn't listening or maybe because there wasn't one, but he's into the guy. i think he said he's "the best reggae artist he's ever heard." meaning:
1.) Modest Yahoo
2.) Bob Marley
bahahaha. turns out he converted to judaism in 2001. bah. i think it's gimmicky but i used to like weezer so i cannot cast the first stone.
another hour before class...yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees.
