Wow, this is a more complicated story than I thought. I've tried to
write it two or three times and keep rewriting the beginning. This week
at the church is Family Camp out at Covenant Hills Campground. So Sunday
night (last night) me and Roger ran the videos for the 10 churches who
have changed the most in the last year. They turn them in on all kinds
of formats...it's always very interesting to figure out how to make
them all play, but we always manage. The best was when we got a video
15 minutes before we started on a External Harddrive. Whee. Anyways, I
had to be out there yesterday all afternoon, after already working from
7:50am-1pm at the church. So I was tired.
Chandra woke up after I was already at work. She had to be to work at
1:45 in the afternoon. I got a call from her at about 1:38 saying that
Kitty T was nowhere to be seen. I reminded her that this has happened
before and not to worry because she's always somewhere in the house.
But then she said, "Yeah, but when I let Bailey out last night, I
remember Kitty T snuck out and I don't know if she came back in
with the dog. Hmm. Ok, I'll stop home between church and camp. I
figured I could find her in 10 minutes.
I told Roger to meet me at a corner gas station and we'd get some pop
and head out to the camp (it's about a 25 minute drive). 35 minutes
later I still couldn't find her so Rog and I headed out due to a time
crunch. I was kinda worried now.
We went and set up all of our equipment to show the videos, which was
quite the ordeal. We showed the videos, had some REAL boring
presentations, and cleaned up afterwards. It's now about 8:30 and I'm
heading home. Get home just before 9 and realize that if I don't find
her she'll spend two nights outside. Call me a wuss but I love that
cat, and wanted her back, so I took the dog for a walk and kept calling
for the cat. Nothing. Bailey and I spent some time in the back yard
while I kept calling the cat. Nothing. I finally, and very sadly, was
about to go into the house and made one last "here Kitty Kitty" when
sure enough from the neighbors yard I hear "meow". I go to investigate and I found a very dirty, Kitty T. But
there's a small fence between the yards so I quickly got around it and
she ran up to me like she was crying "Pick me up and get me back
inside, NOW! I was glad to have her back. I love that
cat. I called Chandra and although they were very busy she took
the time to rejoice with me over the phone. We're a family again!
