Killing the cats

Didnt take long to find something to be annoyed about - surprisingly of course given my positive nature and jolly soul.
As it turns out, my good friends doesnt want their cats anymore. Fair enough, too much trouble, turmoil and work on top of the kid and all. But but but, they´re going to have them shot ...
The big black male cat has had urinal infections a couple of times, and it costs alot to treat - and the other one is basically a jolly little troublemaker, that is a wildcat of nature...so the argument is, the black one should be taken out because of the health problem - and they dont wanna spent 600kroners having a vet doing it...and the other one, well, while at it anyway bla bla bla...so basically, to save money theyre shooting one perfectly healthy cat and one that can be easily (although expensively) treated. Now, that really annoys me, specially since the only thing theyve done to find new homes for them seemingly is to ask me if I wanted them.
I´m a hypocrit I know. I dont actually want them myself - cant really have them here and to be honest I´d rather choose my own sort of if I was going to. Furthermore, I dont suppose shooting them is any worse than what the vet would do...it just seems like "bored with these toys now, throw ém away".
Anyway, gave them some shit about it of course...and I´m kind of tempted to take them in regardless of all the problems it´d cause, but I dunno. Just generally annoyed by the idea of keeping pets and killing them because theyre a bit of a bother...
