V-Day Activities
This Valentine I have really outdone myself. Last Valentine I booked a room at the Embassy Suites and had dinner at the California Cafe at the Mall of America. This Valentine I got tickets to the Minnesota Zephyr and booked a room at the Country Inn. The Minnesota Zephyr is a train that slowly goes along the st.croix river while you get served a 5 course meal.See Minnesota Zephyr
The decor is 40's which I believe was a romantic time what with everyone running off to fight the evil Nazis. They also had singers come though the train and sing songs from the 40's. It was like going back into to time but not having to worry about running into your parents and causing some kind of horrible paradox that shreds apart the space time continuum like so much cheap fabric. We got to sit on a top deck area where there was seating for two. The food was also delicious I was served East Coast Salmon and Michelle was served Game Hen. I thought that it would be a good chance for me to see what it was like to travel by train but we moved very slowly as to not spill the food. So my true train riding experience will have to come some other time. I kind of wish I would have booked an afternoon trip instead of evening because then it would not have been dark and we could have seen the country side, although from were I was sitting I had the prettiest scene sitting across from me. Michelle was dressed in a beautiful copper mesh gown. Michelle's reactions to my romantic gestures are priceless she is such a sweet heart.
