[Yomiel is one bored person over here. Even though poking fun at people and seeing their reactions was fun in and of itself, he's still not completely entertained.]

[So, why not find out something from the people living in the city with him? Could be worth his time.]

[A smirk.] You know, back home, there was a story that one of the houses on my ( Read more... )

i have met 'ghosts' before. and 'souls' and 'hearts' can sometimes be chained down after death. i don't know where they go, but i know it is someplace nice.

it probably is different for different 'worlds' though.

[lmao a few weeks ago he would never have thought this relevant to his life. T___T]

Chained down? That's interesting- what are they chained down with? Have you talked to them before?

regrets and unfinished business, i guess, unless they are chained down by a new body. if i didn't talk to them how else would i know?

That's sad to hear. But how would they be chained by a new body? Would they possess somebody else?

well there is 'reincarnation', isn't there? or it could be placed in a body that might not have one yet..

Reincarnation? But then the ghost would forget all about who he or she was, right?

The second option sounds very unlikely, unless you lived in a society with souless people...

yes, but a body still keeps a soul from being free, doesn't it?

some people say that babies don't have souls until they have been in their mother's womb for a certain amount of time. maybe it the mother died before then and the baby was taken out and revived, it would have no soul and then could be given one... maybe its mother's, or something.

Technically, yes, but I actually think having a body is better than being a free soul, unable to talk to anyone.

Huh. That could be possible...if you have the technology to do that, of course.

unable to talk to the living, you mean - they can definitely communicate and be with each other though. the ones we spoke to are going to be together now for all eternity, and never worry about being torn apart.

yeah, it is definitely possible in my world.

That's nice...except for the fact that they're dead.

Huh. Looks like your world is more advanced than mine.We still don't know whether ghosts or sould really exist or not.

just because someone is alive doesn't mean they are any better off than someone who is dead. except for the fact that people who are alive have physical bodies and those who are dead don't, we are all equal.

the 'world' doesn't know if they do or not, but there are scientists conducting experiments who have learned how to transfer the 'souls' of people.

Maybe, maybe not. I would rather live than be dead, to be honest.

Scientists? So studying the nature of the soul is a science? A bit ironic.

i never said that is what they are studying. they are engineering human weapons, not studying 'souls'.

Wait, weapons?

Why would they need souls for weapons?

they don't. their experiments have nothing to do with "souls". anything pertaining to "souls" was gained as a side-effect.

but i am not privy to any information about secret government projects so i wouldn't know anything else.

A side-effect, huh?

That sounds like some pretty serious stuff. I'm glad that my government doesn't deal with that.
