[Yomiel is one bored person over here. Even though poking fun at people and seeing their reactions was fun in and of itself, he's still not completely entertained.]

[So, why not find out something from the people living in the city with him? Could be worth his time.]

[A smirk.] You know, back home, there was a story that one of the houses on my ( Read more... )

[This is so many levels of ironic LOL for him that Axel isn't even sure he can answer, but maybe he'll try.]

That's a pretty loaded question there, shades.

How so? The topic has interested me for years. I'm just curious to find out what people think, that's all.

I'm just saying, interesting though the topic may be, you're bound to get a few answers you don't like with a subject like this one, especially with how motley the crew here is.

What's got you so interested in the afterlife, I wonder~?

Hey, any answer is good for me. Whether you believe in them or not doesn't matter- I just want to hear people's opinions.

Ten years ago, I read a story in the newspaper about a man struck by a meteorite. He died, but suddenly there were reports of him walking around like nothing had happened. After that, I wondered- could people cheat death? Or was that story just an elaborate hoax to play with our sense of truth?

Oh I think everybody has a story like that. Ten years ago a whole world was destroyed and it fell into Darkness, all the denizens succumbing to shadow. But the heart of the world lived on, cloaked in the black of night, and the cities lived on inhabited by hideous creatures who would steal your heart and consume it to feed their own hunger. Maybe cheating death isn't always a good thing.

I guess I can't complain, though.

[What the heck Axel. ._.]

That...that is nothing like the story I read. Um, too bad for your world, what with all the darkness eating people's hearts and all.
