splorp!

Sometimes, ignorance is bliss.
I watched The Crow, Wicked Prayer last night and thought it was so-so. It starred Eddie Furlong as the Crow this time around and- yeah, he's no Brandon Lee- but he wasn't as bad as I'd anticipated. The guy from angel and Tara Reid were the villains and Dennis Hopper (!) was the head of their Satanic cult or something. I don't know. I was tired.
Anyway, the dialogue was the first thing that bugged me. The Angel dude and Dennis Hopper kept talking like gangstas whenever Satan was involved. In a marriage ceremony between the Angel dude and Tara Reid, Dennis Hopper said something like, "Lucifer! Stop mackin' in the fires of hell and get up here to hitch this bitch for your homie." One line would be enough, but it went on and on and on, dog.
It got annoying, that's all I'm saying.
Then we watched the bonus material and I vomited in my mouth about 666 times. The producer and director were talking about how great the script was and I cried. They both seemed like asses.
The truly wicked thing was the special section about the composer. Now- not once in the movie did I stop and think, "This music sucks," but it did. The guy recorded all this stuff in his attic and they were giving a tour of his studio. He was talking about the song that represented Lilly, the Crow's (deceased) girlfriend. "I needed something to represent the beauty anf fragility of Lilly's persona, so naturally I thought of my wife." (Make that vurp number 667) She came stumbling up the stairs carrying a little poofball dog, which she dropped. She began to speak and I hit 668.
Approximately 50 loads of mouth-hurl later, she was done singing her first couple lines. It was hard to tell with all the ralph-gargling what she was singing, but it was some crap about, "Look in my blue eyes, touch my black hair, I love you Mr. Crow man." Pure rubbish.

By the way,
When Eddie furlong and Tara Reid are outacting you, you know you've hit the bottom. Yeah that would be you, ANGEL DOOD.
