Mr. Phil Miller, my high school Chemistry teacher, passed away yesterday. I'm sad that he is gone, but I know he lived a long and full life. He was an incredible teacher, and my inability to remember Chemistry is not  to be attributed to his teaching abiliity.  Rather, he should be proud because he fostered an environment that allowed me to learn and develop very, very important friendships...friendships that continue to be important today.  Thank you, Mr. Miller, thank you for imparting wisdom in the form of your clever, sarcastic little sayings. Thanks for being passionate about Chemistry and more passionate about giving us a hard time. It's a shame that the end of your life involved cancer, but I am certain you are in a much better place...a place where they do Chemistry all day long. :)

You'll be greatly missed...I hope you knew how many lives you truly did influence.
