Happy ending

Jan 31, 2005 02:11

A girl finds a wonderful, beautiful, charming prince. THe prince marries her and takes her to his kingdom, where she meets his father. His father is a kind man who loves his subjects and tries to do what's best for them. Everyone in the prince's court is equal to everyone else. People contribute according to their own skills, and recieve according to what they need. Although the kingdom maintains a vast and powerful army, there is no violence inside the kingdom. If disagreements occur, they are minor and easily resolved. People can come and go as they wish, but there's not much need to leave the kingdom.

The food and drink are excellent, and in constant supply. The geography is the most beautiful of any place in the known universe. The best musicians are there, and the best writers and the best artists. The library contains all the knowledge of the past, present and future. Your clothing and your house are shaped only by the limits of your own imagination.

Even the animals are completely peaceful with each other.

There is no childbirth pain. There is no childbirth, people enter the kingdom by a much different path. Death is not a concern.

This is my happy ending!

However, the road there is NOT easy. It is pain, and blood, and tears. It is temptation, and it is repentance. It's doing without things you want, so you can have better things later. It is faith, hope and charity. It is choices, and taking risks. It is work, a lifetime of work with a safety net of grace.
It is open to anyone, regardless of race, birth circumstances, sexual situation or geography but the only door into this place is through Death. That's what I mean by work and pain.
