Please sir, is there anyone out there who might be able to pick me up from Portland airport at 11:15 pm on Monday evening? I'm a little concerned that, if the flight is late, I might miss the last busses, and have no way to get home. I'll give you cookies... (if you don't like cookies, I can give you something else.)
Besides that, I'm so lonely here. I'd give a proverbial pound of flesh just to talk to someone who sees me when they look at me, and who listens when other people speak. (Noah, of all people, has been the closest person here to match this, but he's obviously stressed and distracted with things too.) It's been tricky to be supportive of everyone when they're all at each other's throats. No one listens here. ("Note to self...")
