(no subject)
i've gotten maybe 5 hours of sleep in the past 2 nights. and worked about 4x that much in the same two days. but i survived my week, and now i have an actual real live weekend. i am so excited about this, it makes me feel almost normal.
i had fun last night playing pool (we suck) and then truth or dare. ty, i made them play Truthiest of Truth and Double Dog Dare, but i went lite on them. they're amateurs. i tried to explain that playing with you brings me to tears. i warned them i'd set you lose on them when you come for christmas. we refrained from triple dog dares because we were in a public place, you know how those Triple Dog Dares get out of hand.
i'm glad Aden could come too, its been a long time since anyone hasd seen that boy. i hope your ass is working properly now bud.
my parents friends are over playing canasta. i've always thought of this as an old person game, like retired folks in miami ; sitting around in bermuda shorts and mexican guayabera shirts; fanning themselves with their panama hats, and long island ice tea. (wow, every adjective was a location, weird)
but really it's just my parents and thier friends from catholic church from when we were young; sipping wine and listening to harry connick jr. (i swear my parents get more and more weird every year).these folks saw me all the time as a little kid, its sorta weird to see them now, but they are cool about everything. at dinner wewere talking and R was saying how life changes so much and you'd never think 'oh in 5 years i am going to be here or doing this or that; life changes so much" she was talking about kids and grandchildren and losing her job and retirement; but i said 'yeah well i know MY life has changed in 5 years"... ok it was way funnier at the time i guess.
prom tomorrow, i am going to wear my tux and take pictures, beware.
ps- no flood in my store when i arrived this morning. whew
