This is really, really, really lovely. Nobody writes Fuji/Kawamura and that makes me very sad :( because apart from Yuuta (seriously! Fuji is the only character I've ever met that is fucked up enough to make me think incest would be a healthy relationship for him!) there is no one else I can see Fuji with. He clearly has a huge predatory crush on everyone Taka-san in the series and it's very very rare that you see that explored at all, much less as nicely as it is here. Very lovely job. I especially love the character voicing--Fuji is very Fuji, Taka as steady and obliging and open (virtually everything Fuji is not, which is another thing that makes them very good together) as always.
I also love this: Fuji had to tilt his head up to see Kawamura's eyes. He followed when Kawamura shifted from one foot to the other. This time he put the hand on Kawamura's shoulder.
"I won't do it again." He said.
Because this was a bridge that he didn't want to burn. Because Kawamura's brow was furrowed in a way that made Fuji want to shift his own feet, though they remained planted firm. Because Kawamura had unrestrained fire that Fuji didn't want to think about not seeing again. Fuji's fist was curling tighter inside of his pocket. He didn't notice he was doing it until his knuckles began to ache.
Very nice piece of writing. :) You should write more for this pairing! I hope you do.
"Taka is steady and obliging and open" <-- EXACTLY why I love Taka. :) (Sorry, took two liberties: replied to your comment and changed a(n)--assumed--typo in the quote.)
I never really know why Taka loves Fujiko, but there's enough girl in Fuji to suit Taka, who always strikes me as such a straight guy, and the first one of the Seigaku regulars who will get married, and who has the best possibility/likelihood of living happily ever after. :)
