So the husband and I were discussing new possible travel destinations and he floats Toronto, as he has maaaany times in the past and I always say no because we are asshole Americans without passports and international travel is kind of pricey. But now I'm thinking about it and have a couple questions.

1. What is there to do in Toronto? I like museums and culture; D likes toys and nerd stuff; we both enjoy food.

2. Would a winter trip--February, for example--be absolutely insane? I have a feeling the answer to this one is yes. The yearly averages don't look much lower than Boston, so I know it's managable, but I'm not really into exploring around outdoors here in February either.

As we're thinking February/March, I might revert to our earlier consideration of San Francisco for this particular trip, as the weather there is probably more exploration-friendly that time of year.

Any dark horse candidates you want to throw out, have at it. Ideally we'd ponce off to the UK but that's out of our budget at least for another year or so.
