Fushigiboshi no Futago Hime 34 - Bright's (hypothetical) Pacifying Power

Nov 22, 2005 15:22

I didn't really care for this week's ep, but it had its moments. I guess I'm falling into the Miruro camp, but she *is* pretty cute when she smiles.
Anyway, this time Bright's big plan was to play off of Queen Yarmul (of the Water Drop Kingdom)'s legendary wrath by pitting her against the other kingdoms:

Then he would rush in and use his super pacifying powers to calm her down:

The other kingdoms would be so pleased that they'd make him king of the entire planet (a puppet king, but a king none the less):

Naturally, this didn't work. So, it was off to plan B, which was a little sketchier, and didn't lead to him immediately being king. Somehow, he'd blacken the water supply, making the queen angry, but then he'd fly in with his super-cleaning powers and clean the water, making the queen calm again. I don't really see the point of that one, but that's why it was plan B:

Even though he didn't know how to clean the water, he decided to make it black anyway, using REMOTE CONTROL MOLE DRILLERS!

This didn't work either, as Fine and Rain used the Prominence to clean the water again, so there you have it.

There was CameNagi interaction again this week, so I was happy ^_^
Naginyo takes a moment to acknowledge his fans and blow them kisses:

(Normally he just seems to ignore them...)
This distracted him from what he was really doing, though: posing for a portrait painted by Camelot:

The actual plot was OK, but really, it's the Bright stuff and the CameNagi interactions that have been carrying the episodes (for me, at least). Maybe that's why I didn't like last week's episode very much, since it had neither.
