Busy, busy, dreadfully busy...
The past couple of days have been pretty packed. I had a paper due today that I ended up finishing minutes before class, literally! But while I was working on it, it was like a veil over everything else.
Yesterday's studio production class was an actual production. One of our practice ones, where we do the same 5 minute show over and over again, with everyone switching positions until we've all done everything. I was lucky enough to be director near the beginning, before expectations got too high and before we were too rushed (production days tend to run over). This time it was a news show, with a teleprompter and everything. All the stories were about a year old, though, since it was just practice. I feel a lot more confident with everything than I did after the last production day, so I guess that's a good thing.
And then today, once the paper was in and the class was over, I spent the afternoon working on making Dave's birthday cake (it was on Tuesday, but we didn't have time to celebrate then) and wrapping his presents. His car's in the shop, though (someone smashed into his door, so it needs a new one), so we can't go out for dinner like we planned. But it'll all be good. The cake, however, may be *too* good, as I've already had inquiries about the scent and threats to share it or else. Normally I would, but it's a birthday cake...
Anyway, time to go to work!
