Heh, well, that's nice.
This past Saturday I went down to the Rivertown Crossings Mall, over an hour by bus, and not only completed my quest for the cast recording of Wicked, but also used up my giftcards at Barnes and Noble and Suncoast.
Despite my lack of luck in finding Wicked in CT, there were numerous copies at both the FYE and Barnes and Noble. (Although I did check at a Walmart over here, and it wasn't there. I got the Big Fish soundtrack instead.) It was worth the wait, though. The songs are great, as are the performers. It's on a continuous loop in my cd drive at the moment.
While I was out, I also picked up a Hamsterviel plushie ^_^ Although he looks more like a bunny than a gerbil or hamster...
For Interim this year, I'm taking a class on Kanji, although the focus is more on the Chinese side of them than the Japanese. For one thing, the book we're using was translated from Chinese. Still, the meaning of the characters are roughly the same in both Chinese and Japanese.
There are quizzes everyday, and so far, I do all right on the entomology, but the matching is hit or miss for me.
In my spare time, I've been hanging out at Gaia Online. It's a pretty cool place, for a glorified forum.
