Last week of November

Today I had to go to work at 6 am, which was all fine and good, except that no one told me I'd basically be alone. So first, I didn't know how to even get in, since the doors weren't opening. I tried both sides, with no luck. Fortunately, not too long after I got there, someone else showed up, and they just pushed on the Out door and went in. So I wasn't late, which was good because I don't know what would have happened if I needed a red card. But yeah, the store was basically empty, with (probably) one person for each department. There was someone at the customer service desk, so I asked her what I was supposed to do. Apparently, whoever opens has to bring in and set up the newspapers. Not a problem, except that we also got the Sunday papers today, so I had to figure out which papers were which. And then I had to take the leftover papers from yesterday and tear off the front page (for credit, or something). Which again, was okay, except that I didn't realize that USA Today has a three-day weekend edition until about halfway through them. Not a huge deal, but I was mortified when I noticed. Still, Patrick said I did a good job considering it was my first time.

I want to get this year's Carols for a Cure, and I want to get one more, but I'm not sure which one to get. I'm torn between 2006 and 2003.

work, musicals, holiday
