I nearly forgot about my doctor's appointment this morning. Luckily, I remembered with *just* enough time to get ready and go, but I have no clue what triggered it in my head. I mean, I was just sitting there, doing my regular morning stuff, when suddenly it hit me! I actually thought I might have missed it at first, but luckily, it wasn't until 10:15, so I was okay. And thanks to the infusions, my iron level is back to normal.
I got to see how the new card scanners work today, and I have to say that they are *so* much better than the old ones. The actual scanning part actually looks like the way you should scan it (on the old ones, people always scanned them backwards), and the whole thing is just a lot more intuitive.
Patrick came up to me today and told me "You're a beast." What he meant was that I was the top seller when we were selling those paper sneakers for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. From mid-August to the end of September I sold over 900(!) of those shoes, which meant that I got to pick a prize from two different categories (the 300-500 sellers and the 500-700 sellers, I think). Each category only had two prizes to choose from, one of which was a shirt (sweatshirt in one, polo in the other), so I picked the non-shirt prizes: a laptop bag and a sweatshirt blanket ^_^ I'm not sure when I'll actually get them, but just knowing I won stuff is awesome.
