Fireworks!

I just got back from Celebration on the Grand, a great big event that covers downtown Grand Rapids. The main attraction is a fireworks display at the end of the evening, and it was really impressive. I felt so dorky every time I realized that my mouth was hanging open in awe, but it was just so impressive. The group I was with was sitting on the bridge, and the fireworks were being shot off from a boat on the river. Some of the displays looked like they would fall onto us, we were so close. And I heard "I love that kind" and "That's my favorite" more times than I bothered counting ^_^
Of course, a lot more happened today than just Celebration on the Grand, but here's the soundbite version:
A lot of talking this morning: The history of Calvin, Calvin's core curriculum and values (which we had to figure out Pictionary-style), and stuff like that. After lunch I went to a workshop, and then there were group games that were a lot of fun.
Before dinner, I went to a meeting about working in the Dining Hall, and I'm now employed there. And right after dinner, I went to the aforementioned event, and now I'm pretty tired.

school, work, fun times
