(no subject)
everything has shifted.
my ipod- i've added so much good new material, and completely obliterated the music from the past. i'm so glad i bought lindsey gogol bordello, i really like it. and i'm straight out obsessed with jarvis cocker/pulp.
my job- i only work 12 hours a week now, which means i'm looking for a new one. i've hopefully almost found one that would solve a lot of my current issues (like lack of money, stuck with crap hours).
school- i'm taking classes related to my major (one, actually, and so far it's exactly like the fundamentals course i took as a sophomore). also, i'm in my last semester of french, and left myself without any french schooling for so long that i've basically forgotten everything but the rudimentary skills. i've got to fork out some serious dough on a tutor if i hope to be able to pass this class (or i've got to beg sylvie to be my best friend forever and teach me all she knows).
schedule- i'm more organized?
also, i've signed up to do volunteering for sxsw. i got the music panels crew, which i think will be a lot of fun. maybe. it just means i'll be hanging out at the music panels from the 15th-17th of march, doing what they ask of me. and i'll get a wristband for free out of it. next year, i'd get a badge out of it. groovy.
apparently (as per my advisor), i really will graduate in 4 years. i just have to take some serious summer school this summer, which i'm fine with. thus, i will be graduating in a year. thus, i have no idea what to do once i'm done with school. i'm hoping not to have a particularly attaching job, so i can leave it without issue. i know for sure i want to apply to barsuk, matador, merge, sub pop, kill rock stars, sxsw, flowerbooking, high road touring, x ray touring, creative artists agency, william morris, kork agency, charles attal presents, and any other notable label/booking agency/generally cool music-related agency. i probably won't get a job, the field is just too crowded. sort it out, i will.
i think my socializing skills drop about 80% when i'm not with someone who makes me feel comfortable. i guess that goes for everyone.
