Having now seen How to Train Your Dragon, because anything important enough for bedelia77  to change screensavers for is something I need to see, I must ask something.

Why are the adult vikings talking with Scottish accents while the teen-aged vikings are talking with American accents?

OMG Toothless is almost as adorable as my dogs.

OKAY OKAY I know this. ...well, not the American part. But, HTTYD is based on a series of books, which were written by a lady who spent many childhood summers living on a tiny Scottish island. The story/world is kinda rooted in her history there, so I guess the Scottish accents were a nod to that.

Nnnot that 99% of people would know this - I only learned it from the movie art book. BUT STILL, it's cute.
