grrr - bye bye $78
So I have been getting into this habit lately where I pay my credit card bill right before it is due, even though I have the money to pay it right when the bill comes in. I haven't even been using my credit card all that much lately.
Well last month my due date was the 4th but it was close to midnight by the time I realized this. The process went through for the 5th, but I figured I wouldn't be slammed with a late fee since I was so close to the 4th - I think it was still the 4th by a few minutes when I paid. So I go to pay this months credit card bill - admitedly two days late because I had completely forgotten about it and see a $39 fee for June's bill being late. I pay this months bill in full knowing I am getting another $39 fee and that there is no way out of it, but hoping I can have the last one reversed. So I just called Citi a few minutes ago, but they can't do anything to change my account. :( So there goes $78. And it's stupid too because 1) I always pay my bill in full 2) Up until now it's always been on time. I wonder if I called again later if another person would be able to help me, but I kind of doubt it.
Thanks for raping me of my money Citi. I was a really good customer. At least my student loans are coming in soon so I can pretend like I am using that money for this sh*t.
I don't even want to tell my Aunt about this --- geez - how stupid am I!? I should have just paid this bill when I came back on the 27th. I think I thought of it too. (That was my first full day back in Flag after my 16 day vacation.)
Also, I didn't realize the late for was $39. I thought it was something like $10. I had a late fee once on my Capital One card when I used to have them - I forget why I got it, but they reversed it right away. The Bank has reversed several overdraft fees for me too over the years. (Though a few I had to pay.)
And then after the women tells me she can't reverse my fees - she needs the name of a relative and there phone number for some reason - I couldn't really understand what she was saying at that point. And THEN she tries to sell me their Citi Protector progam - you know the thing where your credit card company charges you $12.99 a month to monitor your credit - the kind of thing that sells well to people who live in fear. They had a telemarketer call me about this same thing the other day. I said sure because now that I just got 2 LATE FEES my credit score probably just has gone done - but you know I am cancelling as soon as they send me that report. (First 30 days is free.)

Super super exciting news! I am moving into a place with Melanie and Erin. It's right by north campus. Super convenient for going to the comm building for our SEC meetings, to the library, to the union, the bookstore. Also convenient for flyering - hehe. Also we are near downtown which means I can go out now (at night for dancing and the like) without having to pay $9-10 for a cab ride home (It's usually $6.50 to $8 for a cab but then I give them a tip.) Walking distance to New Frontiers, Bashas (though its a longer walk), Safeway (though I don't like shopping there that much), Kohls, Target, my Aunt's store, downtown, Ben's place for his potlucks, other friends houses, and lots of other places... yay WESTSIDE!!! :) And also yay for not living at home anymore. Not that my Aunt I hate living with each other - we totally don't and have gotten quite used to us - we are just both ready to not live with each other at this point. So if anyone wants to visit --- you can stay with me! (My Aunt never would have let people stay at our house - regardless of sex - she just isn't that comfortable with other people in our house because she doesn't know what to do with herself while they are around.)
Our place is cute and I might post some pictures at some point - though you'd have better luck finding pictures of anything on my facebook account.

Lastly, does anyone know of a single, metro, vegan/vegetarian boy in the area they could hook me up with? (That's drunk free, doesn't drink a lot, is passionate about the environment and is very cuddley by nature. Bonus points if they are a musician or other artist type.)
