(no subject)
Yesterday Tree and I watched Sunshine.
OMG YOU GUYS, THAT FILM IS SAD D:
It's not like I was expecting puppies and rainbows, but :(((((
So naturally when we were done I immediately decided I needed an AU fic where instead of the team being astronaughts trying to deliver a nuclear bomb into the sun, they were bakers trying to deliver cakes. BECAUSE BAKERY AUS CURE ALL SADNESSES.
And then Tree and I may have spent a hour or so discussing Sunshine bakery shenanigans, and it was possibly the best really stupid fic idea conversation we have ever had. Including the one where Tony Stark is ill and woozy and decides to build the Avengers Power-Rangers-Style animal mecha.
Basically you should all watch Sunshine because it is excellent (if a little silly in places) and Chris Evans and Cillian Murphy keep arguing, which as we all know means their character totally want to do it, and also sometimes you just need reminding that SPACE IS REALLY BIG. (I am pretty sure I started freaking out before the film was even trying to freak me out, because THEY GOT OUT OF THE SPACESHIP AND THEY WEREN'T HOLDING ON TO ANYTHING OR TIED TO ANYTHING AND OH GOD FREE FLOATING IN SPACE I CAN'T /o\.)
And then once you have watched Sunshine and feel sad you should tell Tree to actually write a bakery AU so you can be happy again.
