TV that begins with C
I continue to watch TV! I'm now up to Chuck 4x14. Not much to say about that except that I kind of loved Chuck referring to himself as the future Mr. Sarah Walker. <3
I also just caught Community 2x21, and THAT, my friends, is how you do a meta episode. SO WELL DONE. CLIP SHOW PARODY = MOST INSPIRED FRAMING DEVICE. I loved that in making up clips they parodied the concept of a clip show, and in their made up clips they parodied themselves (JEFF'S SPEECH ZOMG) and AN MILLION OTHER THINGS (Glee, hurr hurr) (although actually, now that I think about it, I would actually probably have loved it if one of their episodes this season had been entirely devoted to a Glee parody >__>).
The dismissing of Jeff/Annie and sudden retconned in Jeff/Britta did raise my shipping hackles a little, but I was okay with it in the end. I realised that they just put in the Jeff/Britta to mock how alike/romantically-incompatible they are, rather than to actually repeat the Jeff/Britta storyline again for real, so that's cool. And I realised they weren't retconning out this season's Jeff/Annie so much as they were accurately showing Jeff's reaction to being confronted on it (WHAT?! NO! LALALALA, I CAN'T HEAR YOU) and apparently parodying this fanvid, which is a liiittle mean, BUT MOSTLY HILARIOUS. And they will probably hop back on the Jeff/Annie train next episode/season. (Honestly, until now I had no idea I was invested enough to get protective of the ship. xD)
In conclusion: GOOD JOB, COMMUNITY, COOKIES FOR YOU.
P.S. I really need some Community icons. Does anyone have any Community icon post/maker recs? *puppy eyes*
