So far, so good! Merlin is on notice, after that whole 'season two' thing, but I enjoyed that episode. Possibly because there was lots of Morgana. I LOVE YOU, MORGANA. I'm not sure how I'm going to feel about Morgana turning against Camelot, given the show's record with morally complex situations (the fact they insist on treating everything like it's black and white despite the fact that almost the entire show is in a big murky morally grey area is the most infuriating thing about the show, RAARRGG), but eh. I can just reinterpret everything from Morgana-POV. Even if they go down the 'caricature evil' route, rather than handling things in a complex and subtle way (LOLOLOLOLOL, MERLIN, COMPLEX AND SUBTLE).
I do fear my OTP is rather sunk, though. My OTP being Merlin/Morgana. Because, y'know, OBVIOUSLY when I start watching a show for the slash I end up totally into an unpopular het pairing. OBVIOUSLY. Why self? Why have you done this? (There is not enough fic. It pains me.) Wevs, I'll just continue shipping my backup OTP, Merlin/Arthur. They're unlikely to sink that one, given, y'know, the original stories.
Or I could just read AUs where Merlin isn't an idiot. (Because lets face it, if there had been people around being honest with Morgana about her magic, and emotionally supportive through her issues with it, she would have been less likely to run off, or if she did run off and plot the downfall of Uther anyway (it is somewhat justified. What with his whole 'genocide' thing), she'd have probably been more likely to maintain some sort of bond with the rest of them. MAN, MERLIN AND GAIUS WERE SUCH ARSEHOLES TO HER.)
ANYWAY. Whatever. As long as I get Katie McGrath's face on my screen, I'M GOOD. ♥__♥
I also approved of the random shirtless Arthur. Wasn't there quite a bit of Arthur being shirtless for no real reason in Season Two (possibly towards the end? I can't remember)? Because I'd have no problem with them keeping that up.
In conclusion: RAWR, DRAGON. *awaits next week*
