Ahahahaha! OMG.
Guys.
When Dean walked away from the teenages I was all "...wait. He was afraid of a tiny dog in the clip before the title. And now he's worried about teenagers. They're not going where I think they're going with this... are they?" and then Dean was quietly freaking out about the reptile life and I was like "THEY ARE! They have cursed Dean so he becomes progressively more afraid of things until he is afraid of everything. I HAVE READ THIS FANFIC."
And then I died, because of all the fanfiction to make canon they chose a fic which was just a ridiculously gratuitous excuse to emasculate Dean? (It was kind of. Um. Not that great. But I did finish it, rather than giving up like I do with a lot of not-super-high-quality fic, because apparently I have some sort of weakness for stories which are pure and undiluted emasculated!Dean + protective!Sam + snuggling. DON'T JUDGE ME.) Not that I think the show should avoid recreating self indulgent fanfic. I think that is a brilliant plan. (When they are done recreating the self indulgent emoporn, can they move on to the self indulgent pornporn plz?) I was just surprised. And by 'surprised', I mean 'snickering'.
I was kind of sad Sam's reaction was mostly eyerolling and mild amusement rather than protectiveness and snuggles, but I guess you don't always get what you want. And actually, the eyerolling and amusement were totes adorable too. (OMGOMG, Bobby and Sam cooing over Dean's attempt to be macho at the end, OMG. I DIED FROM ADORABLE. I had to watch that bit twice before I could finish the scene. Awwww. He is adorable. I LOVE THAT YOU TWO AGREE WITH ME.)
Um. I'm sure I remember wanting to say something else too. Oh! Yes. It is totally terrible that I was loling over Dean being bullied by a book, isn't it? I'M SORRY. OH DEAN. <3333

- So the 'Bobby is sekrity an ex languages professor' fanon just got canonised, right? Heh. Seriously though, it is getting a tad ridiculous. I CAN TRANSLATE EVERY DEAD LANGUAGE THERE IS. AND I SPEAK JAPANESE. YIS.
- Evil!Sam = hotness. Jared's face when he says "This is what I wanna become." Nnnnguh. (Although the concerned!Sammy face after that was also FTW. JARED, HOW ARE YOU SO PRETTY?)
- I am in the 'Dean imagined Sam's eyes at the end' camp BTW. I'm assuming it was a flash of sunlight or something and the fact Dean was already worried about it made him see it as yellow-eyed-ness. But on the other hand, we usually get more indication than that when we are seeing from a certain character's POV, so maybe I'm wrong! I'm interested to see where they go with it either way. *g*
- The MoTW made me sad this time you guys. D: Poor guy. HE JUST WANTED TO SNUGGLE KITTENS. I demand Sam and Dean do some frolicking with kittens in his honour. Yup.
