[the comm flicks on to show nill cowering beneath what looks to be a table in some shop. she is, in fact, in the tailoring shop--she wanted to get some thread to fix some clothes, even though she's terrible at it. but, seeing the monsters, she dove beneath the table. strangely, the zombie in the shop didn't chase her. Right. Don't move unless one of them tries to attack.

[At least the shops are close together. He enters with his ax and glances around, confronted by the owner in a moment]

I heard you the first time. I'm not buying anything.

... Whhha...?

Shut up. I'm not here to shop. [Stupid loop tracks... He turns away from the owner, looking around. Not much to see inside... He knocks on the top of the table Nill's hiding under.]

[She knows that someone else is in the shop, but she doesn't move to look until the knock comes. She freezes again for a moment before finally poking her head from under the table. Nill doesn't move, only stares.]

[He stares back, but then speaks up]

You gonna buy anything or are you ready to head back?

[brevipennate]

[A nod, and she shoots out from beneath the table. Her wings are pressed close to her back, and she keeps close to the wall; she doesn't want to get any closer to it than she has to.]

[She can do whatever she wants to... He's going to go over to the door and see what she does next.]

[Once he starts to move, she quickly follows, skirting away from the zombie as she goes, never taking her eyes off it.]

[Shinjiro glances back at her, but then turns back and steps outside. He knocks back a zombie who seems to be shambling towards the shop. Dunno if it was going to attack or no, but hey - preventing the possibility.]

[The blonde flinches at the violence, but doesn't stop moving. She can't. She doesn't want to be in this place anymore. She wants to go back to her wagon, and curl up among the crates and feed, and just wait until the fort doors open.]

[themortalson]

[He really doesn't understand why she's freaking out. Sure, they're zombies, but... Well, he'll keep going. They'll get to the wagons eventually while the zombies insist on more loop-speaking before deciding food is passing them.]

[She stays as close as she's comfortable with to him. Even after being on the trail for a while, she still didn't know what to do around the men. They made her skittish; that was one reason she kept to herself.]

[This is... awkward even to him. Still, he goes along with it, keeping back any zombies that try to attack, and pauses when they reach the wagons]

Alright. Get back to your wagon... and don't head off alone again.

[A quick nod is her response. She probably won't leave her wagon again until they can leave the fort. She's about to run off, but realizes that she should thank him... somehow. So she turns and gives an awkward, curt nod and a small smile, hoping it's enough.]
