Hey, um... did anyone happen to put... like... I dunno, itching powder in the laundry? [The hell with a gun going off... Duo's scratching like a dog with fleas.]

[He pauses, not sure whether it's appropriate to lecture someone he really doesn't even know.]
All the same - be careful, please.
[And now he's having to resist scratching his face and hands himself - he brings one hand up, then stops, but not before accidentally bumping his communicator to "video".
Someone spent last night covered in bees, and has the swollen stings to prove it.]

Yeah, it does seem that way. [Ken might notice that Duo had what looked like a rash creeping it's way up his neck, but nothing resembling bee stings.] I've heard a few things over these communicators.
[He doesn't mean to stare. He's just taking in the details, trying to piece together everything that happened last night, and how it might have given you a rash.
Of course, he doesn't mean to leave the conversation hanging with an awkward pause either, but that's exactly what's happening here. Sorry, Duo.]
Where were you when everything happened last night?
[It could be an issue with the laundry, but Ken still doubts that. For so much to happen last night, and then symptoms to appear today, can't be a coincidence. And if he can figure out what caused the rash, you can get proper treatment.]

You really think that's it? Some stupid plant? Huh... [mutters] I didn't know plants could do that... I mean, it's not like I ever came across one that could before.
Ah...it doesn't seem likely.
Does anything hurt? There were bees loose last night.
[He sounds a little pained, actually.]

[A lengthy pause.]
If you scratch too hard, um. Won't it - last longer...?

[Oh.
Oh. Ken almost switches his communicator back to "voice", but ultimately, what's the point. The flush on his face isn't from swelling anymore.]
...I'm sorry. You weren't supposed to see this. Last night was hard on - everyone, it seems.
[No wonder this kid asked about bees.]

[Ken thinks. He doesn't know much about the plants that would grow in this area. (In fact, aside from "America", he's not sure what this area is.)]
Most likely, something in the bushes irritated your skin. Wash your hands often if you can, if you've been scratching it.

[Okay, he hasn't run into any outside of books, but.]
It's - common, in forests...particularly here, if this really is America. The rash will fade on its own, but certain lotions should help.
...though I don't know if they'd have any here. I'm sorry.
