Man, do I feel juvenille. Here's Emma, embarking on an epic journey, Sammy returning from one, and Miranda posting about truly important things in her life.
And all I've got is restaurant service...
Ah well, growing up is overrated.
THUMBS UP: To Super Paper Mario, which is about as addicting as I expected it to be. The gameplay mechanic of flipping between 2-D and 3-D perspectives, as well as the clever writing (i.e. when a pair of Goombas call Luigi a biter for wearing a mustache, just as his brother Mario does) means social activities will be severly curtailed for the next week.
THUMBS DOWN: To my recent run of bad service in restaurants. Whether it's a waitress messing up my order (which happened tonight when I said NO ONIONS) to restaurants not having what I ordered (a staple at the now-boycotted 19th Hole) or servers not knowing what I ordered (wait, there are more than one type of nacho we serve?) I'm beginning to lose faith. And the one time I get a good waitress (at Red Lobster in CoMo) my friends tell me "she wasn't nice enough...servers need to be friendly more than they need to get stuff right." Whatever. I still tipped her five bucks (and she had a wedding ring, so there were no flirtatious intentions involved).
THUMBS UP: To finding a place down here that had four-dollar AMFs. Sadly, I could only order two, as I had to drive. But I shall return, sans car, and get appropriately sloshed. Take that, beer nation!!
THUMBS DOWN: To falling out of my routine. I can feel the effects of not eating my regular dosage of vegetables/fruits and not working out four times a week. I'm sleepier and don't get up in the "morning" as easily. I blame the whole "having a life" thing where I see people during the day on my off-days. Damn you Christa! Damn you Brian and Sharree's wedding!
THUMBS UP: To Dan, for giving me the idea to just buy a Nintendo Wi-Fi converter and browse the internet on my Wii. This is a brilliant idea that has been thouroughly tested, and it shall happen soon. Pop-ups will soon be eradicated from my life. ::knocks on wood::
