Went cottaging this weekend (just B and moi). Before we left, we saw the Da Vinci Code. It was just like the book, only with most of the interesting parts (the number sequences and art history stuff) taken out. Well, the parts that were interesting to me, anyways. Speaking of movies, we also saw Poseidon at the cheap theatre in Napanee (home of afore-mentioned cottage). It was an exciting thrill-ride that taught us that a) all men are inherently noble and self-sacrificing, and b) in crisis situations, homosexual men and women are, at best , useless, and at worst a liability. But, once you get past that sort of thing, it WAS an exciting thrill-ride.
The weekend was really nice. It rained most of the time (is there ever a Victoria Day weekend that isn't rainy and unseasonably cold?), but that just meant spending time with ma cherie, painting, playing guitar, and reading Phillip K. Dick stories. And playing Sorry, which I hadn't done in YEARS, but which was lots of fun.
Oh, and I almost forgot to add: we went driving around town. Because, at the age of 26, I finally got my licence earlier this month, which prooves how much of a city kid I have always been.
