Let Us Remember: Independence Day
Since the 26th of March hasn't arrived here yet, let me post something that I wrote last night for my page and the Hellenic Polytheistic Community on Facebook. I promise to post a full entry soon, and I have several wonderful things to tell you! But for now, let us remember.
"As I write this, the 25th of March is quickly approaching, here in New Jersey. Of course, in Ellada, it has already come, the day when we celebrate our independence. Now, more than ever, we must remember the significance of this day. Let us not forget those who gave their lives so that we could govern ourselves, as well as those who lost loved ones in the struggle. For while they are long dead and buried, their spirits live on in all that we do. Let us not take for granted the sacred land, nor Her culture and history, nor the freedom from foreign rule that we now know. As we celebrate, let us set aside a moment of prayer, for the present and the future. May we have strength and unity during these difficult times and may a clear road to recovery be found and taken. Blessings to all and zito Ellada!"
